Who loves a good road trip as much as I do??? They can be super fun, but can also get a bit boring after awhile. I just survived a 20 hour one to Disney World and I thought I would share with you some of the things I packed to keep myself busy! These ideas would also work for a long plane trip.
First things first…what are you going to pack in? I needed a new duffle bag and I looked around quite a bit before I found just the right one. It is from Bixbee and it is PERFECT! It’s just the right size to carry all of my goodies and you guys…it is SO sparkly! It comes in 5 different colors. Light Pink, gold, purple, turquoise and raspberry. It also comes in small, medium and large. I picked the large raspberry. It would be awesome for a dance or cheer bag as well!
Isn’t the raspberry color just fabulous? Click on the link below to check it out and all of their other super cute bags!!!
Now…what to pack inside to guarantee hours and hours of comfort and entertainment đŸ™‚ ??? I love how coloring books these days have expanded to include older kids and adults. I ran across this one and just about died at the cuteness! Every picture is GORGEOUS and so fun to color, especially if you are a fan of all things Disney like me! These markers are perfect for coloring in small details and have an incredible range of colors. The perfect pair!
This hot pink lap desk is perfect to bring in the car so that you can color and write on a nice hard surface.
It is also good for working on a trip journal or scrapbook. This is a really fun activity and while you are in the car is a great time to work on it!
If you have someone in the car with you willing to play some games, these unicorn cards are just the cutest!
And the game Sleeping Queens is one of my favorite card games! So so fun.
If you love arts and crafts like me, sometimes it’s hard to leave them behind. But most make such a mess in the car. Klutz is one of my favorite brands of activity books. They are geared toward tweens and have so many cool (and portable) ideas! This trip I brought these two:
But there are SO many amazing ones to choose from! Like this one:
Books are always a must have on any road trip. I packed a paperback as well as an audio book.
They were both such great books! If you are going to Disney soon or are a Disney fan definitely check out the Kingdom Keepers series. Also, if you will be traveling after dark, a book light is super useful. This one is adorable.
Of course I threw my Beats in my bag. They come EVERYWHERE with me. They are so comfy and are perfect for listening to audio books and that road trip playlist! These are the exact ones that I have:
Something else that comes on every trip with me is my Instax camera. Have you guys checked out all the cute different films that you can get? They have so many cute designs!
Another super important part of a road trip are the SNACKS! 3 of my favorites are Pirates Booty, Naturally Bare Apples, and Sweet and Salty Granola Bars. YUM
And this water bottle has a unicorn on it PLUS it keeps water cold for 24 hours. Win win and perfect for a long road trip!
And when you are done eating, some wet wipes and hand sanitizer are very useful. Look at these unicorn ones!
And finally, when it is time to sleep in the car we all know it can be really uncomfortable! A good neck pillow is awesome to have. I adore this hot pink polka dot one!
And a sleep mask and cozy socks are always a good idea! Look at these adorable ones!
I hope you found some good ideas here! Let me know what your favorite thing is to bring on a road trip in the comments đŸ™‚ And don’t forget to subscribe! Love, Mk
