“Not Today Please I’m on Vacation” Shirt
Happy Monday!!! I had such an amazing week you guys! I’m still in shock that my parents surprised my brothers and I with a trip to DISNEY WORLD!!! They have been keeping this a secret for months! We thought we were going to VA to visit family and got in the car after school on Thursday ready for the 8 hour trip. At 2:00 in the morning we were at the bottom of VA and started wondering why we weren’t there yet, ha! We came out of a rest stop and my mom had the four of us sit in the middle seat and put our heads under a big blanket. She then told us to hold out our hands because she wanted to give us something that would make our car ride much more fun. (I was kinda hoping it was a kitten 😀 ) Next thing I know Jiminy Cricket starts singing “When you Wish Upon a Star” over the radio and my mom is putting something in my hand that felt like a plastic watch. We threw back the blanket and in our hands were MAGIC BANDS… all in our favorite colors!!! We were so confused! Wait WHAT?!? We’re going to DISNEY?!? It didn’t help that we were all half asleep, LOL! It was the best surprise ever and I still can’t believe my parents kept it all a secret for so many months. Let me just say that it was very hard to fall back asleep after that!
I’m going to do a few blog posts about our trip, but my first one is all about the outfits! My mom bought a bunch of the clothes that were on my summer wish list, and it’s a good thing that she did because it was HOT! It was the perfect Disney weather and didn’t rain once! The night we got there we had dinner reservations at 1900 Park Fare. It is the Happily Ever After dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming, and her Stepmother and Stepsisters. It was going to be our fanciest dinner of the week and I knew just what I wanted to wear. Aisabobo is an amazing children’s luxury clothing brand. They had sent me a darling cloud blue jumpsuit that just reminded me of Cinderella. It even has the most amazing puffed sleeves! It was the perfect outfit for me since I’m a little too old for the traditional princess dresses, yet I still wanted to look festive and fabulous! Paired with a rattan hat and purse and some white sandals I was definitely feeling like a princess! Click on the links below or above to shop my style!
The next morning we got to the Magic Kingdom at rope drop. I was SO excited to wear my black and white polka dot romper! I think it looks just like something Minnie Mouse would wear. After we got home I saw that Nordstrom also sells an adult one which is almost identical! It would be so fun to match your mom or big sister, so I am linking both below just in case you are interested. My mom purchased me a pair of white vans from Zappos for the purpose of walking the parks and I wore them almost every day. They matched everything and were super comfortable. No band aids for this girl at Disney World! I’m also linking them below.
And this jeans jacket, you guys!!! It was a must have for the cool and foggy mornings. It is Mudd brand and my absolute favorite jeans jacket I’ve ever had. Just the right amount of stretch and nice super soft denim. I’m also linking my sunglasses below because they are so cute and comfy and only $9!
The next day we literally got to the Animal Kingdom a half hour BEFORE rope drop and they were already letting people on the new Avatar ride “Flights of Passage.” We weren’t able to get a Fast Pass for this one since it is so popular, even though my mom tried months ago. Because we got there early though, the wait was only about 45 minutes, and OMYGOSH!!! BEST RIDE EVER!!! I am in LOVE with this ride!!!
The Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite parks and whenever I go there I try to wear something with animals on it. This Kaftan from Next Direct is seriously so fabulous! The details are to die for. Embroidery, sparkles, and the cutest birds! The jean shorts are from Gap Kids and are the perfect length with the coolest distressing. Click on the links below to check them out. Together they make the perfect summer outfit.
On the Monday of President’s Day we hit up Epcot. After a mishap with the bus ,we didn’t quite make rope drop but we managed to still see everything we wanted to. I wore a super cute romper from one of my favorite companies to work with- Love at First Sight New York. Their clothes are available at JC Penney’s, Ross, Minnow and Mars, Burlington and others. This was a nice cool outfit to wear on a hot day and you can wear it on or off the shoulders.
That night for dinner I got all dressed up so that we could eat dinner at Chefs de France in Epcot. If you have been following me for awhile, you will know that I love all things French! I even have a Paris themed bedroom. My mom booked this restaurant specifically for me! It was delicious. I wore a dress from Pippa and Julie that I just adore! I will link it below as well as the silver slippers I paired it with. It was the perfect dress for a night out in Paris 🙂
Our last day in the parks was Tuesday and we went to Hollywood Studios. It was a great day! The morning started off a little chilly so I wore my Hello Sunshine sweatshirt from Old Navy. It is such a happy color and just reminded me of the beautiful Florida weather. I’m also going to link these white washed shorts below because they are so soft and fit me really well. I’ll be wearing them a ton this summer, and I think you would love them too!
As the day warmed up I was able to change into my super cute Minnie and Mickey are Better Together tee from Zara. You have to have at least one Disney themed shirt when you go to Disney World, right? I LOVE the fringes on this one!!
That afternoon we left the park early to get some swim time in at our resort. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and they have a beautiful pool and slide. I was excited to wear my new bathing suit from Zara. I just love the bright summery colors and I absolutely adore the ruffles!!!
The next morning we ate an AMAZING breakfast buffet at Boma, did a little last minute shopping and packed up the car for the long ride home. I wanted to travel home in style, yet still be comfortable. This shirt from O’Neill’s is SO cute and I picked it up on Amazon with free Prime shipping. It says, “I’m on vacay, call me on my shell phone!” AND it’s sparkly. My jean shorts have the cutest lace details, but they are last season. I did hunt down some similar ones for you to check out though and linked them below.
And before I say see you later, one last outfit that I couldn’t resist including! I have a deep love for Jak and Peppar, and if you haven’t heard of them you need to check them out, like now 🙂 They have such beautiful and unique clothing and this shirt looked AMAZING with the Animal Kingdom Lodge as a backdrop. Linking it below because it is on a super sale right now!!
And that’s all for now my friends! I hope you found something perfect to wear on your next vacation! Look for a post soon about all my favorite Disney experiences 🙂 Love, Mk
